Creating a scan

  1. Press Create first scan.

It is recommended to leave the default settings for the first scan.

  2. Scan Type: Full. The Scan with DirBuster option is enabled by default.

To learn more about scan types, hover over the question mark next to the name of a scan type.

  3. Press Next to proceed to creating a scan target.

  4. Enter the URL of the scan target. Use the hint under the text field to enter the address correctly. On the first launch, you can use a URL from the list of testing applications.

Domains may be restricted by the system administrator. In this case, you will see restrictions when entering the URL of the scan target. Use the tooltips to enter the address correctly.

  5. Press Create this target.

A target will be created with default settings. For details on how to customize settings for scanning, see the section Add targets.

  6. If you want to create multiple scans for different targets, enter more target URLs.

You can then use the checkboxes to select which of the created targets will be scanned. All created targets, including the unselected ones, will be saved and available on the Targets page.

  7. Press Next to proceed to the summary.

  8. Confirm the scan creation.

You will be redirected to the Scans page with a list of the first scans added. Each item in the list can be controlled: paused, resumed, aborted.

Clicking on a target's URL will redirect you to a page with detailed information about the selected scan.
